GMB was built to protect our members’ rights and advance the interests of workers. That’s been our mission for well over a century. In that time, we have fought to safeguard workers from attack, not only from bad employers, but from politicians of all shades when their policies undermine the rights of our members.

Since the election, Reform UK MPs have voted against the new Employment Rights Bill going through Parliament on every occasion. This new package of workers’ rights includes:

🔥 Banning Fire and Rehire Practices

📝 An End to Zero Hour Contracts

💪 Stronger rights for Trade Unions to get Recognition and Access to Workplaces

These are measures to protect workers like you, and politically GMB has played a direct role in getting these new rights into Parliament, and soon into legislation. Reform UK MPs have been consistently voting against this legislation.

If you yourself had a vote in Parliament, would you actually vote against stronger rights for workers? Of course not, so why do Reform UK?

We have no option but to take how Reform UK MPs are actually voting in Parliament as evidence of their intentions if they gain more political power. Our members expect us to look out for their rights as workers. We have a duty to members like you, and to our history as a movement, to be straight about the real, evidence-based risks to workers’ rights that Reform UK openly presents. Reform UK opposes stronger workers’ rights, GMB will always stand up for workers rights.
